Three consumers of WAW detergent from the stables of Expand Global Industries Limited (EGIL) have become N1m richer for emerging winners in the maiden WAW Wash and Win Millions promotion.
At the prize presentation ceremony done at EGIL corporate head office in Lagos state, the detergent maker restated that it is committed to uplifting the economic standards of its consumers.
The winners in the WAW Millionaire draw, were Chiamaka Chijoke from Abuja, Matthew Achive from Taraba and Ahmad Abdullahi from Taraba, and they were all present for the presentation ceremony.
One of the winners, Matthew Achieve, a laundry and car wash operator, was visibly elated as he narrated how he felt when he was called that he won N1m. He said he was driving when he picked the call and had to park to shout ‘WAW is wonderful’. When asked how easy it was for him to get the words, he said letters ‘T and G’ were hard for him to get but he eventually got it.
He lauded the management of EGIL for the promotion and said it is good for them to reward their consumers.
Ahmad Abdullahi, a trader that deals in provisions, with the help of an interpreter, said he was laughed at when he started to keep the letters as he was told that he could never win. He said his persistence eventually paid off when he was called that he is now a millionaire. He said he will use the winnings to expand his business.
Rajat Kapur, the Managing Director of EGIL, during the prize presentation ceremony, commended them for participating and emerging as lucky winners in the promotion.
Kapur said the detergent maker is ready to support its consumers, not only by leveraging the best technology for quality products availability, but also by rewarding them for their support to the growth of the brand.
He said more promotions are in the pipelines as the company will always look for more innovative ways to affect their lives positively.
