Popular gospel musicians such as Tope Alabi, Sola Allyson, Seyi Solagbade, Harjovyi, and Ajidara have been penciled down as headline artistes for the seventh edition of the biggest gospel music concert in Nigeria, Luli Concert.

Other artists who will also be a part of the concert are Bidemi Olaoba, Central Choir led by Dr. Rotimi Olaosebikan, Engo, Apostle Debo Ojubuyi, Evangelist ID Blessed, Evangelist HOD Solafunmi, Evangelist Indo, Yinka Erinle, Celestial Symphony Orchestra Choir among others.

This was disclosed by the organisers of the interdenominational music event during a press conference to unveil the seventh edition of the annual concert.

The Chairman of Luli Concert 2023, Mr. Gbenga Alabetutu stated that the 2023 edition will be held at the Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Onikan, Lagos on Friday, October 6th from 7 PM.

Alabetutu added that the vision for the concert is anchored on promoting worship among Christians, adding that the theme for the concert – ‘Perfect and Fearful in Praise’, is a testimony to applying the instrumentality of praise as a weapon for victory.

He stated that despite the ups and downs in the country, citizens have more than a lot to be thankful for, and he charged Nigerians to raise the volume of their praise, prayer, and worship if they want a sustainable better life.

On his part, Dr. Olubenga Daniel-Adebayo, the Convener of Luli Concert noted that the inspiration behind the concert was not borne of human ambition, but through the divine direction of the holy spirit in 2016, with a mandate to ‘create an altar of praise and worship to the lifter of our head, our maker, the God almighty’.

Furthermore, he noted that Luli Concert has grown into a testament to faith, music, and community, adding that it is held under the auspices of Elberaca Worship Ministry, powered by a dedicated Luli Concert team, a group of progressive Christians who have been recipients of God’s amazing grace.

It should be noted that Luli is a word synonymous with grace. Luli in the Celestial Church means grace and they are celebrating God’s grace because they are living in the dispensation of grace.

Unveiling the theme for Luli Concert 2023 as “Perfect and Fearful in Praise”, taken from the book of Exodus 15 verse 11, Dr. Daniel-Adebayo said that the reading from the Holy Book encapsulates the journey towards magnifying the greatness of the creator through music, and artistry.

“This year’s concert promises to be a sole cheering experience, an opportunity for believers and seekers alike to unite and celebrate our God’s matchless grace.

“It’s an invitation to join the chorus of voices to raise our voices and hands in worship and to stand as witnesses in the transforming power of faith.

“In the coming week, we will witness an array of pre-concert activities including medical outreaches to some communities in southwestern Nigeria to cater to primary healthcare needs with items such as drugs and free eyeglasses to be given out. There will also be a volunteer gathering, a music master class where young gospel artistes will be trained in building their craft, a health fitness walk to create awareness for the young and old on physical and mental fitness, and an open mic event, where young gospel artistes in the church can showcase their skills before the concert proper. All of this will culminate in the powerful event on October 6,” he concluded.
