Dr.Afolabi Abiodun Tajudeen, thé special adviser to the Lagos State Governor on political, legislative and civic engagement, has called on all Muslims not to forego the lessons learned in the month of Ramadan.
Tajudeen made the appeal during the prayers held on the last day of the holy month, asserting that ‘´Ramadan is a fulfillment month, and the holy Quran reiterates that fasting is describe for us so as it was describe for those before us to guide against evil’’.
´´ We are appealing to all Muslim faithfuls that what we have learnt during this month of Ramadan should be put into use and never be forsaken. Let us see it as a rebirth, that we are reborn from all the bad vices we are formally doing. We pray to the Almighty to guide each and everyone of us as we are heading back home and keep our paths from not going astray’’.
He appreciated the president, H.E Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) for his support and the food items brought in during the Ramadan period and also the Lagos State governor, H.E Babajide Sanwoolu for his outstanding performance not been hindered by the economic hardship, as he was able to bring smile to Lagos residents faces by distributing food palliatives which shows that he has a listening hear to the yearning of the citizens.
´´In the mosque, we have what we call sarakatu fitri, These are items preserved for the less privileged so that when they are going home they can go with it.
´´It is our prayer that the Almighty Allah accept and answers all our supplications been rendered at the mosque today and I wish all Muslims faithful happy Eid – Mubarak.’Copyright TRUSTAFRICA NEWS.
