Ayodeji Akinlalu , the Youth Coordinator of the Celestial Church of Christ, Mafoluku Model Parish 1 has called on parents to be more responsible in the upbringing of their children to have a balanced and fully developed society.
He said though parenting can be a herculean task, especially in the 21st century with the struggle to make a living making parents to neglect their children, however, parents should see themselves as partners and their children’s best friends for a prosperous future.
Akinlaui stated this over the weekend at the Youth Harvest of the church celebrated in all Celestial parishes.
On the harvest, he said it is a medium for them as Celestials to return glory back to God for his kindness towards them, particularly on their children, as the scripture says, children are the heritage of God.
‘’Because of this heritage of God, we choose this once-a-year celebration to celebrate them as a church and this is cut across Celestial globally and Mafoluku model parish 1 is doing it significantly’’, he stated,
As part of measures to ensure that the children in the church are academically sound, he said they are able to leverage their members that are educationists to organize weekly lessons for the children.
‘’I must say that we are blessed because we have good teachers and they are doing that greatly. They help us on Sunday basis and on weekly basis periodically to help us ensure that these students are well educated and they are versatile both social, spiritual and emotional wellbeing. Though, there is still room for improvement nevertheless but so far so good, our teachers are doing well and they are raising godly offspring’’, he added.
